Hello Pub Crawl!
Now I usually don’t link the hard-edged news source of the SLTribune, but I was hard pressed to find any other coverage nationally on this matter. Guess the rest of the US filed it under “’bout fucking time utah!”
By the way, am I the only one who feels I should get a partial refund for my annual memberships? The $2-$3 owed to me by many of the local drinking establishments would be plenty to get me drunk for an evening! For once I would like the bars to get me drunk… on them!

Anji recently sent me this awesome review:
having failed to plan ahead, i found myself without any chewing gum this morning. desperate times call for desperate measures, so i was forced to patronize the salt lake convention & visitor’s bureau gift shop where i found i had two choices, both wrigleys [i'm an orbit-only kinda gal]: juicy fruit and eclipse lemon burst. seeing as how the taste [the taste the taste] of the former has never particularly moved me, i opted for the sugar-free lemon burst crusty encoated eclipse. i should’ve known better…
word jumble fans might find it interesting that the letters in the words ”lemon burst” can be rearranged to spell the name “ron stumble”. and he sounds exactly like the kind of misguided, unwholesome, willy wonka-type character who would think this flavor was a good idea in the first place. the packaging assures the gum is “surprisingly fresh.” surprising? yes. fresh? not especially. when i took my first chomp, the taste was delightful and not unlike that of a lemon skittle [the taste of which has always moved me]. then, as promised, SURPRISE!!! suddenly my tongue was confronted with a totally new taste sensation: panic.
panic tastes kind of like cough syrup, vodka, lemon pledge, and cold air. it is, indeed, a uniquely upsetting flavor.
twenty-ish seconds later, the panic taste had passed… along with the feeling that i had made a terrible mistake. as i bravely chewed on, contentedly mind you, i settled into the idea that the whole dreadful experience was worth it… then, like a fool, i tried another piece…
lesson learned: stick to what you know [orbit] and always be prepared.

Thus far, it’s taken just a touch over 2 hours to download and install. After an initial unsuccessful install, I had to restore my phone… just to install the 3.0 update again. I’m now staring at nightrider like progress bar that reads ” verifying iPhone software..” and steals the focus on my screen every 5 min.
I just see Apple sitting back and laughing as people scream into their iSites in vain!

An all-knowing online guide recently showed me hypem.com, which is now a daily visit for me. The Hype Machine is amazing!! For those of you not familiar with this site… it is a music blog perpetuator. What the hell does that mean? Well, it scours the thousands of music blogs out in the www and then posts the songs available for listening on their site. It then tracks which users listen to them, and increases their value, just as google does based on clicked search results. The result: Hot songs currently circulating virally. Notable artists like KanYe West, MGMT, Girl Talk, and may others use this medium to perpetuate remixes and new releases. The bottom line, you feel like you have the underground music pulse at your fingertips. One added bonus, many of the songs featured are available for download for FREE! That’s right… FREE. Make sure to check out hypem.com or my link on the right.

Oh no! The WSJ is reporting that Ripley Inc of the famous Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, is having a hard time finding oddities to fill their museums. Read more on this disturbing trend here.
This raises another question… how does one actually shrink a head? Thank goodness Wikipedia came to the resuce!

It’s been said that airports are the modern-day bus terminal¬¬ and I can’t help but agree. With flying being the preferred methods of quick interstate travel, masses of people come together in the unwelcome hallows of the airport. Now, I’m not sure who designs airports, but I would like to have a talk with them. No really, I do. I need to ask them some questions like:
- Why do you assume everyone in the airport is hard of hearing?
- Do you really need to blast CNN Airport news at a minimum 120 decibels?
